Hong Kong Integrated Nepalese Society Limited (HINS) cordially welcomes you to our web page. This web page has mainly been designed to inform you the details of our experiences that has been done within the Nepalese community in Hong Kong. Registered under the social ordinance in 2004, HINS was recognized as Hong Kong Integrated Nepalese Society. However, in 2008 the organization was recognized as ‘tax free’ by the Inland Revenue Department. Since 2012, this organization has been registered as a charitable organization. After two years of establishment of this organization, since 2006, this organization had been running a project called ‘Nepalese Community Services Team (NCST) – Nepali Team’ funded by the Home Affairs Department (HAD) of Hong Kong. For ten years, until 2016, through the NCST project this organization had been providing service to the Nepalese community in Hong Kong. Through the project, HINS had helped to integrate the local Nepalese and the Chinese community, provide training related with employment, and also help the community to solve different problems that the Nepalese community faced on a daily basis.
HINS has actively been working with EOC (Equal Opportunity Commission) since 2011. Various projects were successfully executed in the funding of EOC. Still HINS is looking potential future assignment.
Likewise, HINS has actively involved with HK Police in social awareness building activities as well as events organized by HK Police force in Yau Tsim Mong district. HINS also hold event together with Hong Kong Network Community (Links Centre), SARDA (The Society for the Aid and Rehabilitation of Drug Abusers, HKSAR Fire Department, Health in Action, United Nethersole Community Health Service, Hong Kong University (HKU), Lady Maclehose along with several Nepalese Social organizations. In a request of Consulate General of Nepal, Hong Kong HINS also lead the Nepalese community and performing Nepalese Cultural and displaying handicrafts at Asian Ethnic Cultural Performances which hold by Leisure and Cultural Services Department of HKSAR.
HINS has been appreciated hugely by the EM Nepalese community for relief work for the peoples of Nepal which was shocked by a devastating earthquake on 25 April 2015. HINS worked with local INGO, NGO and peoples. HINS has strong board of directors who are well known entrepreneur and social figures of local EM Nepalese community whose influence from all walk of life HINS collaborated with 67 local EM Nepalese social organizations to organize a “Candle Light Vigil” in Kowloon Park Piazza in the presence of thousands of peoples. This is the 1st event in Nepalese community where such huge number of different organizations was gathered under HINS banner.
Presently, it has been registered as a ‘Limited’ in the list of Charitable organization. So, we are expecting your generosity, if you donate HK$100 or more we will give you a receipt. This organization has been established for the betterment of the Nepalese community, and we strongly believe that we together with our effort have to run this organization, and we can do it.
